
Jane is a London-based professional trombone player, who enjoys a vibrant career as a performer and an educator. She is in demand in both orchestral and theatre ensembles, regularly playing with Multi-Story Orchestra, London Contemporary Orchestra, London Concert Orchestra, Novello Orchestra, English Symphony Orchestra, Parallax Orchestra, Phaedra Ensemble and many more. She has performed at all major London venues and has recorded at Abbey Road, Angel, Air Edel, RAK and Resident Studios, featuring on releases including Bring Me The Horizon’s now Grammy-award-winning album ‘amo‘.
She can currently be heard on Newsies at Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre with previous shows including South Pacific (Sadler’s Wells/Tour), Legally Blonde and Carousel (Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre), Flowers for Mrs Harris, Me & My Girl (Chichester Festival Theatre) and Barnum, She Loves Me (Menier Chocolate Factory). Deputy experience includes the West End production of Fiddler on the Roof (Playhouse Theatre), Oklahoma! (CFT), Follies and Follies Revival (National Theatre). Jane is a member of the newly formed Luminaire Orchestra who specialise in original orchestrations of works from musicals.
Always driven by her passion for performing and advocacy for her instrument, she is an Associate Performer for the Gender and the Large and Shiny Instruments (GALSI) and regularly tutors the low brass of the National Children’s Orchestra. She has also been invited to work with Aldeburgh Young Musicians, the Royal Opera House’s Learning & Participation department, London Symphony Orchestra’s Discovery programme and many other celebrated projects. She is the low brass specialist at Guildhall Young Artists Centre for Young Musicians, London and holds specialist teaching positions in leading independent schools.
Jane is a graduate of the Guildhall School (2015) and went on to be twice awarded an Artistic Fellowship (2016 & 2017) for her continuing contribution to the school.
